Criston Moore, Worship Pastor
I was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA, where I discovered a love for music at just three years old. Growing up in a large, musical family, I quickly developed my gifts as a singer, musician, and director. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a worship leader and pastor, while also sharing my talents on national platforms such as TBN, BET, ESPN, and TNT, and traveling worldwide as a background vocalist with Israel Houghton and New Breed.
I came to know the Lord at a young age in a church that deeply valued both worship and the Word. It was there that I learned what it meant to serve God with authenticity and passion. My journey to The Grove in 2021 was truly a divine connection — one of those moments where I could clearly see God’s hand leading my family and me into a new season of ministry and growth. From the moment we arrived, I knew this was a place where we could plant roots, pour into people, and help build a culture of worship that reflects heaven on earth.
Today, I serve as Worship Pastor at The Grove Community Church and as Director of Worship Arts Ensembles at California Baptist University. I am passionate about uniting people through worship and raising up the next generation of worship leaders.
I’ve been married to my wife, Kelsie, for eight years, and together we are raising two amazing sons, Jacob and Josiah. As a family, we are committed to serving the church and sharing God’s love in every area of life.
A fun fact about me is that I’m one of ten kids — five boys and five girls — and we all sing and play instruments!
My prayer for The Grove is that we would be faithful in life and fruitful in ministry for the Lord Jesus Christ. He deserves our best. May we be a church found giving our very best in life and ministry — for His glory, and His glory alone.
