Adult Classes are designed to help you grow in your understanding of biblical truths. These classes are based on specific topics and are usually offered in 6- to 12-week segments at 9:30 or 11:15 AM on Sunday mornings. We have terrific teachers and topics, and we hope you will take advantage of these extra learning opportunities.
CURRENT GROWTH CLASSES
Are you new to The Grove? Or you may have been here a while but are looking to get plugged in? Come to Starting Point on Sunday, September 7 at 9:30 AM in Room D-3. Are you new to following Jesus or looking to get serious about walking out your faith? Come learn the biblical foundations of the Christian faith during our 6-week class. This class is held in Room D-5 at 9:30 AM on Sundays. Our next session begins on September 7.
Baptism is a way of publicly demonstrating your faith. Our next baptism will be after all services on the weekend of September 20/21. If you are interested in being baptized, please come speak to a pastor in Room D-2 after any service on the weekend of September 6 & 7, or click here for more information. If you are interested in making The Grove your home church, this is your next step. Here, you’ll discover the things God is doing in and through this church and how you can be involved. What’s the secret to a successful marriage? This marriage class will show that love motivates a woman and respect motivates a man. We believe so strongly in this class that we think every couple at The Grove should take it! Join us for this nine-week class through Dr. Emerson and Sarah Eggerichs’ Love & Respect series. Our next session will begin on Sunday, September 14 at 8 AM in Room D-2.
Come join us as we read and discuss John Bunyan’s story of Christian’s (and his wife Christiana) journey from the City of Destruction through the Slough of Despond to the Wicket Gate, past Vanity Fair, on the narrow - and only - road to the Celestial City and ultimate eternal life and rest in Christ. Dr. Troy Hinrichs, CBU Professor and one of our Lay Ministers, will be teaching this five-week class, beginning on Sunday, September 14 at 9:30 AM in Room D-2.
Do you want to learn more about God's heart for all people? The Mission of God Class exists to inspire participants to develop a passion and conviction to take a clear next step to engage in God's global purpose. During these seven weeks, through education, application, and Bible study, participants will explore God's great mission to redeem people from every tribe, tongue, and nation to Himself. Our desire is to see you move from awareness and exploration to passion and conviction for God's heart for the nations. Class begins on Tuesday, September 23 at 6:30 PM in the Chapel.
Would you like to learn more about Trusts and Wills? We'll be hosting two Q & A sessions in the Chapel on Sunday, September 28 at 5 PM and Monday, September 29 at 6:30 PM (you only need to attend one of the dates.) Representatives and material from the Christian & Missionary Alliance and the Baptist Foundation of California will be available, along with attorneys who are members of The Grove, to help you get started. All are welcome to come.
You’re invited to join us in this new class. Each week, we will be exploring how a biblical worldview provides clarity and direction in a world increasingly shaped by shifting cultural values and competing truths. Join us for this six-week class on Sundays at 9:30 AM in Room D-2 beginning October 19.
The Spiritual Gifts Class at The Grove consists of two sessions that help define the area of ministry for which you have a passion, what gifts God has given you, and the style of serving within which you will function most easily.
