WELCOME TO GROVEMEN

Connecting with others

Men need to be connected with other men whether they know it or not! Much of the value of the Grove Men programs is in creating connections that become true friendships, and connect the men of the church with one another. As trust develops, men are willing to be honest about their struggles to grow in their relationship with God and seek the support and prayers of others. This sense of true Christian community is at the heart of the Grove Men.

Commitment to learning and growth

Commitment to the study of God’s Word together is a core value for the Grove Men. God promises to bless us as we dig into his Word together. It is there we will find the answers to the challenges and difficulties we face in our daily lives. We are equipped for life and changed by its illuminating power, and the friends we make along the way are one of the greatest assets we have to keep us firmly grounded in our faith.

Serving

We are not just readers of the Word, but doers as well. This involves ministry at the church, and even more importantly, in our community. Men of The Grove are committed to leading the church and demonstrating our passion for God as servants who willingly volunteer our time to help others in the church and in our neighborhoods.

Outreach

The Grove is an outreach church! We want everyone to have a chance to hear about the good news of Jesus Christ. It is our great blessing to be able to take this message to every part of our own community, from the affluent to homeless. We recognize a special burden and calling to those who live in places that never get to hear the gospel message. We will lead our church in taking this message into the darkest corners of this world and to encourage our fulltime missionaries. We get to experience the joy of serving God in a cross-cultural setting.

The Grove Sports Ministry

The Grove has a number of sports programs designed to give men the opportunity to play together and to provide a “non-threatening” fun opportunity to bring in friends and family. Hands Across the Border (HATB):

Hands Men’s Outreach: For the last 35 years men from The Grove have traveled south of the border to Mexico to do ministry together and reach out to those in real need. These multi-faceted trips offer a “hands on” opportunity to spend a week working for the Lord in a cross-cultural setting, learning to see the world a little bit more like God sees it, and building relationships with guys from the church that will last long after the trip is over. Get involved in Hands and find out what an adventure it is to reach out to the nations for Christ. Why don’t you become one of those men? For more info, contact Outreach Ministries at Ext. 2120.
Hands 2014 dates to be announced.
