Baby Dedications

Babies are a gift from God, and it is for this reason we dedicate our children. During a baby dedication the parents, or parent, come before God and the church family and present the baby with thanksgiving before the Lord. The parents dedicate themselves to the task of raising the child in a Godly way and providing a Christian example for the child to follow. Those witnessing the event represent the church. The church dedicates itself to helping the parents raise the child and to helping the child learn about God’s love. Both the parents and the church pray for the salvation of the child as he or she reaches an age when they can understand the saving message of the Gospel and can accept Christ for themselves.

A member of our pastoral team would like to meet with you to clarify any questions and prepare you for your baby’s dedication. Baby dedication ceremonies are offered several times a year and are held before the Saturday evening service. Call the church office or fill out the response card and we will schedule a meeting.
